VERTIKA is a specialized contractor providing expertise in maintenance of civil engineering structures, mechanical elements and architectural elements primarily in heavy industry and the mining, energy industry and on buildings . This work is done on structures where access is difficult and complex.
In tune with the requirements of structures, VERTIKA’s team conduct visual, destructive and non-destructive inspections on a wide variety of at-height or hard-to-reach structures.
The rope access techniques used by VERTIKA can be combined with traditional access methods such as scaffolding, cranes and man lifts , making it possible to significantly reduce time required for at-height and confined-space work.
VERTIKA’s expertise in temporary access to hard-to-reach structures has been applied to the development of know-how in the design and installation of permanent fall-protection and confined-space evacuation systems. These systems enable VERTIKA customers to conduct a variety of tasks at height or in confined spaces independently and safely, while complying with all provincial and federal regulations.
The accident prevention program developed by VERTIKA is dedicated to worker safety. The implementation of this prevention program has made VERTIKA a precursor of SPRAT in eastern Canada. VERTIKA applies the guidelines for rope access work developed by this professional association. SPRAT is recognized by the majority of governmental agencies that enforce health and safety regulations in Canada and the United States. As a result, the techniques developed by VERTIKA, in conjunction with the health and safety training provided to its employees, subcontractors and its customers, make it possible to achieve and maintain the objective of zero accidents.
